Artificial Turf In Anaheim

Most people in southern California realize we are in the middle of a severe drought.  The rainfall levels over the past few years have not been enough to refill the reserves enough to be considered a safe level.  This means that there is no way to provide an assurance that all people in the area will have enough clean water to drink, and when this happens conservation efforts must be put in place.  Te conservation efforts are twofold, one that forces people to not waste water and one that encourages them to save water.

People are forced to not waste water by only being able to water their lawns at certain times and for certain lengths of time.  It is almost assured that the amount of water that you are legally allowed to provide to your lawn will not be enough to keep it healthy.  This may be unfortunate and nobody wants to see their investment in their landscaping dry up and die, but people and animals are more important than your grass.  Were you aware that a single square foot of grass in southern California needs almost 55 gallons of water every year to stay green? This translates to millions and millions of gallons of water that is wasted every year by watering your grass.  The conservation effort will allow you to water, but probably not enough for everything to look healthy.

As compensation for the losses you will probably take on your landscaping, there are rebates and incentives in place for people who go out of their way to conserve water.  Once way to accomplish this is to remove your grass and replace it with a ground covering that does not need water in order to look good.  These types of ground coverings are sometimes referred to as desert landscaping, but may also involve artificial turf which is a synthetic grass peoduct that is designed to look and feel like real grass.  If it is professionally installed, you may not even be able to tell that it is a plastic product and not the real thing.

Do your part and conserve water in southern California by removing your grass and replacing it with artificial turf or another water smart type of ground covering.  Only through us all doing our part will we have enough to go around.
